On Friday 28th April  6-7pm at Schull Harbour Hotel, the official change from Schull Community Inshore Rescue Service (SCIRS) to Schull Coast Guard Rescue Service took place.  Various members of Irish Coast Guard were present, also Civil Defence, as well as past and present SCIRS volunteer members, some of which were wearing their new Coast Guard uniform.  A presentation from Irish Coast Guard was presented to Denis O’Regan  – photo 6 – commodore of the local Schull Coast Guard station.
